Calling a pest control company is like admitting defeat in Fayetteville—we handle our own humidity, our own traffic on Bragg Boulevard, and our own raccoons. But when the attic starts sounding like a bowling alley, pride goes out the window.

So I made the calls, I read the fine print, and I watched technicians crawl through crawl spaces from Hope Mills to Spring Lake. Some sent photos of every rodent they eliminated; others left bait stations messier than the problem.

One company even respected the spider living in my porch corner. The list runs from national outfits with polished billing to local operators who answer their own phones.

Here are the ones worth your money, and the one I politely fired.

Complete Pest Solutions of Fayetteville N.C.

Highlights
Fast wildlife removal
Pet-safe treatments
Competitive pricing
Effective same-day results
Clear service plans

I called Complete Pest Solutions on a Tuesday morning. A raccoon had taken up residence in my attic. They came fast. The removal was quick, and the treatments were pet-safe, which mattered more to me than the competitive price. Same-day results are not a myth here. The service plan they laid out was clear, no fine print theatrics. My dog sniffed around the perimeter afterward, unharmed. I paid, and the raccoon never returned. That is the whole job. They did it.

Orkin

Highlights
Thorough trap and spray service
Respectful of resident's spider companion
Clear explanations of treatment expectations
Professional from first call onward
Highly recommended technician performance

Orkin sent a technician who respected my spider. I named her Gladys. She lived in the corner of the porch, and I had grown fond of her. The technician trapped and sprayed everywhere else, but he left Gladys alone. He explained exactly what to expect from the treatment. No surprises. From the first call to the final walkthrough, everything was professional. I recommend that technician by name if you can get him. The service was thorough. Gladys and I both approve.

HomeTeam Pest Defense

Highlights
Reliable, thorough, and communicative service
Free between-visit pest callbacks
Hard-to-beat service quality
Unclear bundle and pricing details
Poor termite warranty handling

HomeTeam Pest Defense delivers reliable service. They are thorough and communicative. I appreciated the free callbacks between visits. That alone is hard to beat. But the pricing structure remains a fog. Bundle details were never clear to me. And when I had a termite warranty issue, the handling left me cold. The technicians themselves were excellent. The office, less so. You pay for quality, and you get it. Just bring patience for the paperwork.

I would send my mother to them. That says enough.

Billing disputes after cancellation

Clark's Termite & Pest Control gave me five years of steady service. The technicians were thorough and communicative. They always told me what they found. But the bait stations were left messy. Dirt and plastic bits scattered around the yard. And the unannounced visits drove me mad. I would come home to find them there, no call. When I canceled, billing disputes followed. Five years of good work spoiled by poor management. I left.
